NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Three horses died in a large barn fire in Antioch on Monday night.

The barn was fully involved when firefighters got on the scene just after 9 p.m. in the 5000 block of Pettus Road near Thurgood Marshall Middle School.

The Metro Fire Chief said the barn at the location burned to the ground and that firefighters worked for several hours to control hot spots.

No one was injured, but all three horses inside the barn died.

Fire investigators will be on the scene Tuesday morning to determine what started the fire.
