NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Two people were killed on mid-state roadways Monday evening in two separate wrecks
In Rutherford County, 42-year-old Deborah Young was killed after crashing her car on Floyd Road Monday afternoon. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said she lost control of her car in a curve and flipped her car into a field. Young was not wearing her seatbelt, and was ejected from her vehicle. She died on the scene.
Another fatal crash was reported by Tennessee Highway Patrol officers in Cannon County. Investigators said that a motorcycle crashed into the back of an SUV on Highway 70 at Lassiter Barker Road just before 6 p.m. Monday.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 28-year-old Raymond Knox, Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
