SUMMERTOWN, Tenn. - Investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office want to identify a person of interest in the robbery of the Dollar General in Summertown.
Officials said the man was in the Dollar General two hours before it was robbed, and was driving the same type of vehicle as described by witnesses during the robbery.
Surveillance video showed he had on a blue ball cap with an Indianapolis Colts logo on the front, and what is believed to be Indianapolis on the back.
Investigators also said they have been able to link their robbery to one committed in Franklin. . According to police, the clerk at Jewel's Market on West Main Street fought back against the robber and the two wound up out in the parking lot where the man with the gun assaulted him. The clerk had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries
