Teen Critically Injured After Being Struck By Truck

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A teenager was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in East Nashville.

The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Gordon Terrace.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the driver of a pickup truck did not see 15-year-old Tariq Ali in the street and hit him.

Ali was taken to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, where he was listed in critical but stable condition on Thursday morning.

Police said no charges were expected to be filed against the driver.
