Body Found Inside Crashed Car At Edwin Warner Park
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police are trying to determine if a medical issue contributed to the death of a man whose body was found inside a car at Edwin Warner Park on Wednesday night.
A passing motorist called police after seeing a car in a ditch in the wooded area on Vaughn Road around 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a body inside the car, later identified as 51-year-old George McCabe.
Their investigation has found that McCabe was driving his car when it went off the roadway, collided with several small trees, and crashed into a ditch. The car was hidden from view, and may have been there for several days.
Police said McCabe was not wearing his seatbelt.
An autopsy will be performed by the medical examiner to determine how McCabe died.
Police said there was no evidence of alcohol involvement in the crash.
