GPS Helps Police Track Down Suspected Thief

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police used GPS to track down a stolen iPhone and the suspected thief.

Metro Police said Amy Smith called them after a man ran off with her purse on Wednesday night. Her iPhone was inside, and police were able to use GPS to track it to the Woodland Street Bridge.

There they found Calvin Bright, who admitted to the theft.

He was arrested and charged with robbery.
