LA VERGNE, Tenn. – Police have been called out to a La Vergne home after the resident's neighbor drove a new vehicle through the side of garage, taking out an entire corner of the house.
The crash happened Friday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. at 1102 Geneil Drive.
The driver, who lives directly across the street, told police he tried to hit the brakes but they did not respond.
The F-150 truck hit the corner of a Nissan Altima parked in the driveway and another vehicle before slamming into the garage door and corner of the house.
Police said the driver had recently purchased the truck.
Officials were waiting for an insurance adjuster to arrive on scene before deciding if they should move the truck due to structural concerns with the house.
It was not clear if anyone was injured or if anyone was home at the time of the crash.
The driver's identity was not released.
