HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.- A Hendersonville purse snatching led to the arrest of mother who had her children with her at the time of the crime.
Police were called to the HG Hills grocery store on West Main Street in Hendersonville around 9 a.m. Friday. A female shopper told officers that as she was putting her groceries in her car, and woman came by a stole her purse. The suspect then jumped into a car and nearly hit several other cars while trying to flee the scene.
Officers caught up with the suspect a few minutes later and arrested Bowling Green residents Darlene Wells, and Amanda Wells, 28. According to police Amanda Wells' two young children, ages three and four were in the car when the two women committed the crime.
Both women were charged with evading arrest, aggravated assault and child neglect. They were taken to the Sumner County Jail.
