CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A man has been killed when his boat and another craft collided on the Hiwassee River during a rainstorm.
WTVC-TV reported 65-year-old Dale Rose was killed. Family members said Rose was an avid sportsman and was very familiar with the river where it flows through Meigs County. They believe weather was a factor in his death.
TWRA Officer Ben Davis said three people were aboard the other boat. They all escaped injury in the crash near the Highway 58 bridge on Sunday night.
