Terrence Graves
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Metro Nashville Police Department has named a new commander of the North Precinct.
Chief Steve Anderson announced Tuesday Captain Terrence Graves will take over the leadership from retiring commander Anthony Carter.
Captain Graves is a 15-year veteran of the department. He currently oversees the Department's Criminal Investigation Division and Office of Professional Accountability. He has also been an instructor at the training academy, and a patrol supervisor.
Carter will bring his 38-year Nashville police career to a close on September 10. He will then join the Tennessee State University police department as an assistant chief.
Graves' successor in the Criminal Investigations Division and Office of Professional Accountability roles will be announced soon.
