BELLEVUE, Tenn. - The boss of the mother of two who was stabbed to death inside her Bellevue home on Sunday says she was a loyal, fun employee.
"She was a good girl, she had her bad days and good days like everybody else," said Adel Elostta.
As the owner of Athens Family Restaurant, Adel Elostta saw something in Michelle Pinkowski 6-months-ago when he hired her. He looked past her troubled history with drug abuse and gave her a chance.
"She would think with her heart, sometimes you feel like she's running with her eyes closed, she cannot stop. She had a lot of energy," he recalls.
The night before the mother of two was stabbed to death inside her Bellevue home she was working at the restaurant. Two days before that on her 48th birthday, she celebrating with her coworkers.
"Her dad didn't make it to 47 I guess and if she made it past midnight she would beat him and two days later she's gone," Adel says about her death.
Adel thinks the 48-year-old was starting to turn her life around. The only thing strange about that last few days was a mention she made of her neighbor. Adel doesn't know if she was talking about her neighbor Craig Garber, who police say stabbed Michelle, her mother and son to death on Sunday.
"She complained to her floor manager about her ribs, she couldn't clean very well and we asked her why and she said 'I was wrestling with the neighbor,' we don't know if this is the same guy or somebody else," he added.
Just one question in a growing list without any answers.
