NewsChannel 5 Purchased By Journal Communications

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A big announcement coming from here at NewsChannel 5. Journal Communications has entered into an agreement to purchase the station, along with NewsChannel 5+, NewsChannel5.com, and a digital subchannel.

The station was owned by Norfolk, Virginia-based Landmark Media Enterprises.

Journal owns 14 other TV stations across the country, along with several radio stations. The $215 million deal is contingent upon FCC approval.
