Tennessee Delegates Ready For DNC

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The Tennessee Democratic Party has sent dozens of delegates to the national convention in Charlotte.

Local delegates said their new focus is doing a better job of telling Tennessee, and the rest of the country about the accomplishments of President Obama. According to Chip Forrester - chairman of the state Democratic Party this will be a common theme over the next few days, about how President Obama has strengthened the middle class.

"We need to make sure people understand that Obama, got Osama, that health care for families is radically different, and when that message gets out to the country through this convention, we're confident that in November, the President will be re-elected," said Forrester.
