NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Westbound lanes of Interstate 24 in the Haywood Lane area have reopened after a crash involving multiple vehicles.
The crash happened around 7:30 Wednesday night. Crews on the scene said that a car crashed into the median of the interstate sending debris flying into the roadway, which then caused a second crash. The median between the westbound and eastbound lanes was heavily damaged. All westbound lanes were closed and one eastbound lane was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
It was unclear exactly how many cars were involved in the crashes. There was also no word on how seriously the occupants inside those cars were injured.
