NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Close to 500 people will be pounding the pavement Saturday morning, in honor of our nation's military.
Amy Cotta is one of the organizers of the first annual "5k Boot Run". She started running in military boots, not long after her own son joined the Marines. Amy says it's been therapeutic for her and hopes the 5K won't just be a fundraiser, but a show of appreciation those serving our country
"Every step I took, I kept telling myself, don't stop, you can't stop, there's some young man or woman in Afghanistan right now with those same boots on and they don't have the option to stop," Cotta explained.
The Boot Run starts at 8 a.m., at the Meridian Center in Franklin.
