Man Arrested In Christian County Homicide

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. - The Christian County Sheriff's Department have arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a man early Sunday morning.

Micah Steven Holland, 28, of Pembroke, Kentucky, was charged with the murder of 30-year-old Joey Weatherwax.

The Christian County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a shooting early Sunday morning in the area of Old Palmyra Road. Initial reports indicated that Weatherwax, of Cox Mill Road, was found dead in the area of 7875 Old Palmyra Road. Deputies discovered that Weatherwax had been shot and had also been hit by an automobile.

Holland was transported to the Christian County jail and held on a $1 million bond.

Authorities were awaiting autopsy results from Louisville. Police continue to investigate.
