NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have identified the body of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle overnight.
Thirty-five-year old Marc Pullo III's body was discovered before 10 a.m. Monday off Harding Place, near Tampa Drive. A passing motorist noticed the body
Officials said that Pullo, who lived nearby, had left his home on Harding Pike to walk to the Walmart around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said it appeared that Pullo had been walking east on Harding Place on the south side of the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Pullo was thrown over the guardrail, down an embankment, and into a wooded area.
A suspect vehicle in this case has not been determined, but a preliminary crash scene investigation indicates that the vehicle is red or brown in color and may have damage to the right front and passenger side.
A receipt from Walmart was recovered from his pocket. The items listed on the receipt were also next to his body.
