CLARSVILLE, Tenn. – The victim of a recent shooting outside a Clarksville daycare has been arrested and booked into jail on drug charges.

The shooting happened last Thursday on Chapel Street in Clarksville near the Kiddieland Day Nursery.

Police said 25-year-old Cederick Outlaw got into an argument with the suspect. At some point, four shots were fired, hitting Outlaw three times in the arm and hand. A bullet also grazed his head.

A 22-year-old woman who had just dropped her children off at the daycare was also shot in the hand. Both were treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Outlaw apparently lost his new job after missing too much work recovering from his injuries.

Officials with the Clarksville Police Department said Outlaw apparently decided to sell drugs to supplement his income.

He was charged with possession and booked in the county jail.

Investigators were still looking for the suspects in the shooting. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Clarksville Police Department at their TIPSLINE, 931-645-8477.
