Jail Makes Changes After Inmate Accidentally Released

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn.- After an inmate was accidentally released from the Sumner County Jail and new step has been added to the process to prevent future mix-ups.

Last week, jail employees released Asisha Staten when they person they should have been letting go was Annissa Stanton. While the two women don't look alike, their very similar names caused the confusion.

The inmate who was released early got a call from deputies when they realized what had happened and went back to the jail and turned herself in.
