NASHVILLE, Tenn.- After two foot chases officers from Metro Police have caught and arrested two men suspected in several home break ins in the Cottage Lane area.
According to officials, police dispatch received a call from a resident that a home was being broken into in the Cottage Lane area around 6 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived at the home they saw two suspects flee the house. After a chase over a fence and through the residential area, officers caught 22-year-old Omar Grant-Raines and 23-year-old James Brennan Jones.
During further investigation into the home burglary, Metro Police discovered that before breaking into the home on Cottage Lane, the suspect had forced their way into a home on Dellrose Drive. The men held the resident of the home at gunpoint and demanded the victim's belongings. The victim struggled with the suspects and was able to run to a neighbor's home for help.
Grant-Raines and Jones were charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and evading arrest. Grant-Raines was being held in lieu of $160,000 bond. Jones' bond was set at $181,000.
Police said Grant-Raines was also under investigation in connection with a convenience market robbery in Donelson Thursday morning.
