NASHVILLE, Tenn.- After three hours of deliberation a jury handed down a guilty verdict for the suspect in a 2008 car wash murder.
On Friday, Kevin French received an automatic life sentence of at least 51-years for the first degree murder conviction in the murder of Andre Veals. Veals was at a car wash on Gallatin Road when he was carjacked, shot, and run over by his own car. The car was later driven to Millersville, where it was burned beyond recognition.
The case went cold for several years before French and his co-defendant Leangelo Ramey were developed as suspects and arrested. Ramey's charges in the case are still pending.
