Inmate Bites Local Corrections Officer

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn.- A Rutherford County corrections officer continues to recover after a scuffle with an incoming inmate.

27-year-old Carla Corbett was arrested for public intoxication Friday night. Once she arrived at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center she added more charges to her record.

Officials said during the booking process Corbett became combative and bit an officer's hand.

The officer was treated and released at a local hospital.
