Shots Fired Into Apartment Narrowly Miss 2 Children

Posted: Updated:

HERMITAGE, Tenn. – Several shots were fired into a Davidson County apartment that police said barely missed two young children sleeping in their beds.

The incident happened just after midnight at an apartment complex at 608 Margaret Robertson Dr. in the Hermitage area.

Investigators said a woman flagged down police in panic and reported her apartment had been sprayed with bullets.

At least one round ripped through the living room and another pierced a back bedroom where an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old were sleeping.

Another person was also inside the home. No one was injured, but police said everyone inside was terrified.

Witnesses told police the shots were fired from two vehicles. Police were looking for a large black car with chrome rims and a light-colored, possibly silver compact car.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Metro Nashville Police Department at their Crime Stoppers line, 615-74-CRIME (742-7463).
