One Person Extremely Critical After East Nashville Shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- One person has been shot in East Nashville near a public housing apartment complex.

Police responded to the call of a person shot at the CWA Apartments in the 600 block of South 5th Street just after 8 p.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived on the scene they found a person lying between two buildings. According to officials the person had been shot multiple times.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in extremely critical condition.

Officials said they believe the several people may have been involved in the shooting, but they have not yet developed a suspect. Anyone with information about this crime was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
