Belle Meade Officer Involved In Single-Vehicle Crash

BELLE MEADE, Tenn. – An officer with the Belle Meade Police Department was injured in a single vehicle crash.

The incident happened near Harding Pike and Jackson Boulevard Thursday around 5 a.m. Officials said the male officer was on duty and in an unmarked squad car when he collided with a pole.

It was unclear exactly how or why the crash happened. The cause of the crash was under investigation.

Officials said the officer suffered a significant but not life-threatening injury. The exact nature of his injuries was not released.

The officer was not identified.
