NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have asked for the public's help to identify a man who robbed an armored car.
The robbery occurred at the Regions Bank on Nolensville Road on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 just before noon. Police said that as an employee for Brinks Armored Car entered the bank the suspect approached him and sprayed him in the face with pepper spray. The suspect then grabbed the employee's money bag and fled the scene.
The suspect was leaving the scene driving a four-door, silver-colored Pontiac Sunfire, with minor damage on the right side rear bumper. Police described the suspect as a white man, about 5'8"-5'11" tall with a medium to heavy build. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a black ball cap and a tight fitting plastic mask on his face.
Police said the suspect was considered armed and dangerous.
