Officials Search for Escaped Inmate

PEGRAM, Tenn.- In Cheatham County, an inmate escaped while on work duty.

The Sheriff's Department said Zachary Burgess was at the Cheatham County landfill on Sam's Creek Road in Pegram around 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

Officers think he may be headed to Nashville. He's not considered a violent offender; he was being jailed on a misdemeanor charge.
