NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Protesters were outside the Federal Reserve Building in Nashville Saturday calling for an "End to the Fed."
Nashville's movement is connected to dozens of other protests happening also all across the country. The group wants the Federal Reserve to be disbanded because they believe most of the country's economic problems are tied directly to the bank.
"The biggest problem in American isn't a foreign enemy; it's a domestic banking cartel that's been running this country into the ground since 1913 when they took over. They create all our money; they issue all of our currency, and they issue all of our currency out of debt," said protester, Matt Gulliver.
Many of them said they believed in going back to a gold currency instead of paper. They also spoke out against the Federal Reserve's recent announcement that they'd start buying bonds all in an effort to jump-start the economy.
