Radio Personality Charged With Sexual Exploitation Of Minor

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville radio personality has been indicted on sex charges involving a minor.

Fred Buc, 55, was arrested Saturday night at his west Nashville home after a Davidson County Grand Jury indicted him on charges of displaying sex acts to a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police said Buc allegedly exposed himself during a webcam exchange with an undercover Virginia detective who was using the Internet profile of a 16-year-old girl.

Law enforcement in Virginia were able to link the IP address of the screen name being used to Buc, then referred it to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations detective in Nashville.

During a search warrant, detectives discovered child pornography on computers used by Buc.

Buc was held on $100,00 bond.

Buc is the general manager of independent radio station Lightning 100 (100.1 FM) and has hosted "Retro Lighting" on Lightning 100 every Saturday morning since 1993.
