LEBANON, Tenn. – A Lebanon City Council candidate has been arrested on felony drug charges out of Georgia.
Lebanon Police arrested Richard Rogers on Wednesday. The Ward 1 candidate was wanted in Cobb County, Georgia on two felony warrants. He was accused of possessing muscle relaxers and marijuana.
The Lebanon Democrat reported the warrants were filed in 2004.
The newspaper also said authorities charged Rogers in 2003, and a bench warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court.
