NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Police are investigating a possible shooting that led to a car crash near Belmont University.
Officials were called to a wreck in the area of 16th and Wedgewood Avenue near Belmont University around 2 p.m. Thursday. Early reports indicated that a person was shot inside a vehicle then crashed into two other cars.
Two victims were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. At least one person sustained multiple gunshot wounds. According to police, neither victim had life threatening injuries.
The victim's names have not been released. It was unclear what caused the shooting.
One lane of Wedgewood Avenue was blocked by a car involved in the wreck.
