NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A man was arrested for the alleged brutal beating of another man while stealing his cell phone.

Investigators said Terry Lynch was walking on North Gallatin Pike when Kevin White approached him and hit him in the head multiple times with a shotgun. He allegedly stole Lynch's cell phone before fleeing the scene.

Lynch had to get three staples in his head, but is expected to be OK.

Police caught up with White a short time later. He was charged with aggravated robbery.
