Driver Crashes Into Gas Station, Flees Scene - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Police in Smyrna are looking for the driver who slammed his car into a gas station mini-mart Friday afternoon and then drove away.

The crash happened at the Citgo Gas Station on Weakley Drive and Swan Road around 2 p.m. Friday. Officials said the drive crashed into the building, through a plate glass window, then threw the car into reverse, backed out, and drove off.

An employee said that when the driver came crashing through the front window no one was standing in the area, so thankfully no one was injured. While the driver didn't hang around to apologize or answer questions, police did find the front bumper to the car and several other pieces of the vehicle behind in the debris.
