NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Police have responded to a scene of a shooting in South Nashville.

Officials were called to the intersection of Lewis Street and Lafayette Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday night. One person was shot in the leg during a robbery. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The victim's name has not been released.

After a brief foot chase, police were able to apprehend the suspect several blocks away on University Court. The suspect's name was not released.
