WATERTOWN, Tenn. - A Watertown woman and her two children have nothing left after her boyfriend allegedly set her house on fire Saturday night.

"It's not fair, I gave him my life, my love, my kids and he took everything," Jill Green said holding back tears Monday morning.

Jill said sometime on Saturday night she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend of six months, Scott Akres. At one point, she decided to leave her house at 233 Cornwell Avenue with her two kids and stay with a friend. A short time later she got a call the house was on fire.

"Thank God my children are safe, that's the most important thing right there but there are memories in that house I'll never get that back, never," she explained.

Police arrested and charged Scott Akres with arson. Neighbors on Cornwell Avenue said he admitted to setting the house on fire and asked them to call authorities. On a 911 tape obtained by NewsChannel 5, neighbor John Russo can be heard arguing with Akres as they waited for officials to arrive on scene.

"And don't worry I'll tell them you started it too if you want me to. You could've burned down my (expletive) family. You could've taken out the whole neighborhood!" Russo could be heard saying on the recording.

Jill, her 7-year-old, and 9-year-old are currently staying with a friend as they try and start over. They have no material possessions left, which is why friends and family are trying to collect donations to help them rebuild.

"I'll get through it, I will," Jill said.
