NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Nashville residents met to discuss a possible mixed-use development concepts for the State Fairgrounds.
On Monday, the first meeting on Phase Two of the Fairgrounds Master Plan Study was held. The study covered several areas, including the proposal for the mixed-use area as well as its economic impact and whether it's marketable.
The Metro Planning Department previously discussed phase one which talked about ideas for the property. Monday's meeting gave residents a chance to vote on those ideas.
"We put possibilities up on posters, with boxes marked like and don't like. We give everybody some stick-on stickers and that's a real quick idea to see how some of these ideas are going over," said Craig Owensby with the Metro Planning Department.
Planners hope to bring a decision to the council by February 2013.
