NASHVILLE, Tenn.- While it's not open to the public yet, one popular Nashville attraction damaged in the May 2010 does appear to be working again.
The fountains at Bicentennial Mall are up and running. Work is still being done on the fountains which were damaged in the 2010 Nashville flood. During the historic flood, the area was covered in four feet of water and all the equipment under the fountains was badly damaged.
The fountains had to be redesigned and rebuilt to incorporate new health code standards. Officials said they hope that all the work will soon be complete and the fountains can be open to the public in the next few weeks.
