Donelson Hot Tub Death Deemed Suicide

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro Police said that a 20-year-old woman who was found dead in a hot tub at a home in Donelson was a suicide victim. 

Police were called out to the home in the 3000 block of East Lake Drive around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police said Bridgett Holts Combs-Holt was found unresponsive by the homeowner, who called 911.

Detectives said she died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. A suicide note was found in her purse, and a pistol was found in the hot tub after it was drained.

Police said the woman and the homeowner were friends.

The investigation remains open.
