NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman sought for questioning in the shooting death of a man last month in the J.C. Napier public housing developments was located on Thursday night.
An officer found 29-year-old Minnie Monique Thomas in a vehicle near the intersection of Lewis and Winfrey Streets. She was taken into custody on an outstanding parole violation warrant and interviewed; however, police did not disclose any information about what was learned during the interview.
They are still searching for two others believed to have knowledge about the murder of Eric Swanson. Derresha Lyons, 18, and Montez Duncan, 29, have not been questioned, but police continue their efforts to locate them.
Police said Swanson was shot while seated in a parked red Toyota Camry on the night of September 23. He then then ran to his girlfriend's house on Lewis Street, and the Camry pulled up. Swanson got into the back of the car and was taken to a local hospital. He died during surgery.
The Camry has since been recovered from a Dickerson Pike body shop.
