Man Faces Charges for Drunk Driving with Child Passenger

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A local man is facing charges after allegedly driving drunk with his 10-year-old niece in the car. The accident happened Friday night on Andrew Jackson Parkway in Hermitage.

Investigators said Dwain Caruthers hit a car that was making a turn and later admitted to drinking beer and taking pain medication for an injured neck and back.

His 10-year-old niece was with him at the time of the crash. Medics rushed her to the hospital with a head-injury. She is expected to recover.
