4-Year-Old Boy Found Safe After Endangered Child Alert

Posted: Updated:

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. - A 4-year-old boy from Benton County has been found safe, two days after an endangered child alert was issued.

Officials said Ayden Smith was found Monday morning in Michigan by U.S. Marshals. He was placed into protective custody.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the boy had last been seen Thursday, and had not been returned to his father's home after visitation with his non-custodial mother, Jessica Coleman. Investigators had said the two might be headed to Michigan.

The Benton County Sheriff's office said Coleman and Victoria Culvahouse were expected to be returned to Benton County sometime Monday to face warrants for felony custodial interference. Authorities said Culvahouse is the child's grandmother.
