NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a man was arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a building that caught fire just days before.

According to an affidavit, Ronald Vasalech attempted to break into Mac's Drive In Market on Gallatin Avenue.

Vasalech told police he thought it was okay because the building was abandoned.

The business caught fire last Tuesday morning. Fire crews believe the cause of the fire was likely electrical in nature.

Vasalech faces burglary, vandalism, and public intoxication charges.
