Metro Police Officer Named In Domestic Assault Warrant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Metro Police officer has been named in an arrest warrant charging him with misdemeanor domestic assault.

Andre Johnson's wife met with Domestic Violence Division detectives on Tuesday night, and reported that he struck her during an argument in February.

The 46-year-old is a 24-year veteran of the police department, and was last assigned to the Central Precinct.

Johnson is being decommissioned as police continue their investigation.
