Husband Charged With Attempted Murder Of Wife

COLUMBIA, Tenn.- A man accused of stabbing his wife in the chest has been charged with attempted murder.

43-year-old Joddie White allegedly stabbed his wife with a knife at their home in Maury County last week. Police tracked White down less than two days after the crime and arrested him in Montgomery County.

Police said they believe Joddie White stabbed his wife during an altercation at their home on Bradford Circle around 7 p.m. and fled the scene. His wife was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where she underwent surgery. She was in stable condition

White was being held in the Maury County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
