Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - More than 200 injured veterans, troops and supporters will be riding bicycles and hand cycles on a Ride 2 Recovery Bluegrass Challenge that started in Cincinnati and will go through Fort Campbell, Kentucky, on the way to Nashville.

The ride helps injured veterans improve their health through cycling, and most riders are coming from Warrior Transition Units that help troops rehabilitate from injuries and wounds.

The ride began in Cincinnati last Sunday and the riders and their supporters are due to ride from Bowling Green to Fort Campbell on Thursday. The next day they will travel from Fort Campbell to Nashville for the conclusion of the race.

Veterans from Clarksville, Dickson, Murfreesboro, Sevierville and Sparta are among the participants. The public is encouraged to show their support for the riders.
