$2,000 Reward Offered After 8-Year-Old Injured In Shooting
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A $2,000 reward has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest in a drive-by shooting in Hopkinsville, Kentucky that injured an eight-year-old girl.
A woman told police she was inside a home on Durrett Avenue around 7 p.m. Wednesday when she heard gunshots, and glass shattering. Police said she felt something hit her back, possibly a bullet that had ricocheted.
An eight-year-old inside the house was hit by a bullet in her abdomen. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where she was in stable condition Thursday morning.
The woman's injury was minor. Another person inside the house was not injured.
Police said they do not know the motive behind the shooting at this time. No arrests have been made.
