Resident Attacked, Robbed During Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was attacked by robbers during a home invasion in west Nashville overnight.

The victim told police he was taking out the trash outside his home on Clifton Drive just before midnight when he saw three men approaching him. He tried to run inside his home, but the men forced their way inside as he tried to shut his door.

Police said the man was knocked to the ground, and one of the robbers struck him on the head with a handgun. His wallet and cash were stolen. The man told police the robbers went into a bedroom looking for something and fled the scene.

The man described his attackers as black males—two who appeared to be in their teens and one that was in his mid-20s. All wore dark clothing and hoodies, according to police.

The victim was treated and released from Metro General hospital for a head laceration.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
