Engineer Company Returns To Fort Campbell

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Soldiers from Fort Campbell are returning home to the installation on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line Friday after a nine-month long deployment to Afghanistan.

The soldiers are from the 887th Engineer Support Company, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.

The unit was based at Forward Operating Base Sharana and is comprised of heavy equipment operators. The company provided direct support to the 172nd Infantry Brigade.

A welcome home ceremony will take place for their return at the Personnel Processing Center.
