NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police are reviewing surveillance video in a possible attempted abduction in Old Hickory on Friday.

Three girls, ages 10 to 12, walked to the Discount Tobacco and Beer Market at the corner of Anthony Street and Old Hickory Boulevard around 11 a.m. to buy candy. They said a male asked them the time while they were outside, and then reached out and grabbed one of the girls.

One of the other girls screamed, the clerk came outside, and the man took off.

Police said the suspect was a white man who appears to be in his late teens or early 20s.  He has short brown hair and is approximately 5'8" tall with a thin build.

At the time of the incident, he wore red shorts and a grey t-shirt.  He had also shopped at the nearby Dollar General store and was carrying a Dollar General bag.

Anyone with information about this crime was asked to call CRIME STOPPERS at 74-CRIME.
