NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Sounds
of the Nashville Symphony filled the Schermerhorn Symphony Center Sunday
night,
and this concert had a specific mission.
The event, "Music
With a Mission" helped raise money and awareness for the Nashville Rescue
Mission. The show featured country music group "Restless Heart" and
the Nashville Symphony, as well as guest performers like Amy Grant, Rickey
Skaggs, and Tracey Lawrence. This is the second year for the event, which
raised over $70,000 last year.
Before the show, guests
also bid on a silent auction with items donated by several musicians like Jack
White of "The White Stripes", rock duo "Foster the People",
and country legend George Jones.
